Visit of Minister Aloysio Nunes Ferreira to the United States – Washington, June 2, 2017
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, Aloysio Nunes Ferreira, will hold a working meeting with the US Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, on June 2, in Washington. The meeting will aim to discuss the bilateral agenda and assess current regional and global issues.
Minister Aloysio Nunes Ferreira will convey to the US Secretary of State Brazil's proposals in the areas of trade and investment, civil aviation, space, infrastructure, energy, agriculture, health, digital economy, defense and security.
The initiatives have the purpose of making the bilateral relationship even more dynamic, efficient and cohesive, oriented to concrete projects and with visible impacts on the lives of the citizens of both countries. The Brazilian proposals are aimed at attracting the private sector, generating greater productive integration and promoting modernization and increased competitiveness.
The US is the world's largest market for Brazilian manufactured products, which have greater added value and represented, in 2016, 60% of our exports to that country.
