The Brazilian Government follows with concern the escalating violence in clashes between security forces and demonstrators in Mozambique following the announcement of election results.

Recalling the right to freedom of assembly and protest, Brazil urges all parties to exercise restraint to ensure the peaceful expression of citizenship within the democratic framework.
