The Brazilian delegation was composed of the Secretary for the Americas, Ambassador Pedro Miguel da Costa e Silva; the Secretary for Foreign Trade and Economic Affairs, Ambassador Sarquis José Buainain Sarquis; the Secretary for Consular Affairs, Cooperation and Culture, Ambassador Leonardo Luís Gorgulho Nogueira Fernandes; and by directors of department from the different thematic areas included in the dialogue.
In turn, the U.S. government sent the following representatives to Brazil: Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Ambassador Victoria Nuland; Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment, Ambassador Jose W. Fernandez; Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs, Ricardo Zúniga; Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs, Mark Wells; and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Transition, Anna Shpitsberg.
The meeting offered a privileged space for the exchange of opinions and for the follow-up of the different priority projects for both countries. In addition to assessing the stage of implementation of initiatives already underway, the High-Level Dialogue identified new opportunities for cooperation and offered new political impetus, with a strategic vision, to the bilateral relationship as a whole.
