Agrément granted to the Ambassador of Brazil to the Republic of Peru
The Brazilian Government is pleased to inform that the Government the Republic of Peru has granted its agrément to the appointment of Rodrigo de Lima Baena Soares as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brazil to that country. According to the Brazilian constitution, the appointment must still be confirmed by the Federal Senate.
Rodrigo de Lima Baena Soares has been the Ambassador of Brazil to Mozambique since 2015. He joined the Brazilian Foreign Service in 1986 and has served at the Embassies of Brazil in Asunción, Paris, Buenos Aires and at the Mission of Brazil to the United Nations. In Brazil, he has held the positions of advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, speaker of the Presidency of the Republic, head of the international department at the Press Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic and head of the Office of the Special Advisor on Defense Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
