Press Office

The Press Office is one of the areas responsible for Public Diplomacy.  It promotes the coordination between Itamaraty and Brazilian and foreign press agencies and coordinates the activities of the Ministry on digital platforms. It is responsible for updating the web portal and the official profiles of the Ministry in social media, as well as for defining guidelines for the use of these media by Brazilian Embassies and Consulates.

The Press Office organizes media coverage of the travels of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and of the events held at the Itamaraty Palace. In addition, in coordination with the Social Communication Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic, it takes part in the media coverage of the travels of the President of the Republic abroad and in presidential events in the national territory, when related to foreign policy.
