Freshwater Program
The Freshwater Program (PAD) aims to ensure a permanent public policy for access to quality water for human consumption through the sustainable use of brackish and saline groundwater in the Brazilian semiarid region. To achieve this, it is necessary to establish technical, environmental, and social considerations in the implementation and management of desalination systems, taking into account the presence of salts in the groundwater of this region.
