Risks of activities at the Botanical Gardens
Every activity carried out in natural or man-made environments, but with many elements of nature, offers risks to people. In the arboretum of the Botanical Garden it is no different.
Here we have tall trees, plants with thorns or poisonous plants, waterfalls and mossy lakes, and wild animals.
So our visitors must be careful and watch out for children, because there are risks associated with falls, falling branches and large leaves, injuries in general, poisoning by contact or ingestion of leaves, roots or fruits, or even caused by animals (which are not domesticated, they can bite, scratch or sting).
You should avoid standing on flowerbeds, climbing trees, crushing or eating plants and fruits, handling cacti and other species with thorns, touching bushes or piles of leaves on flowerbeds, walking in places covered with moss, getting close to animals, in short, any situation that can cause problems for people, plants, and animals.
Sometimes windstorms occur and can cause damage to trees (some of which are very old); at such times it may be necessary to evacuate the arboretum in order not to expose visitors and employees to accidents. Cooperate and leave as soon as possible (without running); our staff will guide this procedure and give all the explanations. Take the opportunity to read the Arboretum Evacuation Routine in its entirety.
Have a safe time with your family and friends, enjoy the beauties of the Botanical Garden, walk through the centennial alleys, take lots of pictures, and return home happy for the moments you spent here.
