Located in the ruins of the old gunpowder factory, the playground offers wooden toys and sandboxes for children up to 10 years old. It also has benches and tables for snacks, as well as restrooms. Also in this complex is the

Park Garden, a snack bar for children.

Store

The Associação de Amigos do Jardim Botânico (AAJB) runs the Friends of the Botanical Garden Store, located in the Visitors Center. Fair trade products, decorative objects, books, children's items, clothing, among others, can be found in the store.
