XXXII PIBIC CNPq-JBRJ Seminar takes place on July 4th and 5th
The XXXII Seminar of the Institutional Program for Scientific Initiation Scholarships (PIBIC) of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) and the Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden Research Institute (JBRJ) takes place this Thursday and Friday, July 4 and 5, in the auditorium of the National School of Tropical Botany (ENBT).
The meeting begins on July 4, at 9 a.m., with an opening panel, followed by a keynote lecture by Professor Marcelo Trindade Nascimento, from the State University of Northern Rio de Janeiro (UENF), at 9:15 a.m.. He will talk about the Impacts of land use and climate change on the vegetation and tree flora of the Atlantic Forest: the North/Northwest of Rio de Janeiro as a case study.
In 2024, the PIBIC Seminar will feature 28 oral presentations by undergraduate scholarship holders. In addition, on Friday, from 3:00 p.m. to 3:40 p.m., there will be a Panel session with poster presentations by high school scholarship holders (PIBIC-EM).
The PIBIC Institutional Committee is made up of professors Claudia Franca Barros (coordinator), Leonardo Tavares Salgado and Davyson de Lima Moreira. The External Committee is made up of Marcelo Trindade Nascimento, associate professor at the State University of Northern Rio de Janeiro (UENF) and Vânia Gonçalves Lourenço Esteves, associate professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
