The Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden takes care of security within its facilities in compliance with the General Personal Data Protection Law (LGPD)

Security in the areas of the Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden is provided by a specialized team with 24-hour on-site and camera monitoring. This service, which has several cameras throughout the arboretum and in the administrative facilities, is described in Ordinance No. 36, of December 15, 2023, which establishes rules on the monitoring, recording, provision and protection of images captured by the CFTV system within the scope of the JBRJ, and thus provides greater security for personal data.

In line with the LGPD, the video surveillance carried out within the JBRJ aims to guarantee a safe and secure environment for its visitors and the professionals who work there - LGPD Art. 7. VII, Art. 11, II
