Tango Revirado on Sunday in the Garden
The atmosphere of Buenos Aires dances will be present at Domingo no Jardim on the 13th, with a performance by the group Tango Revirado. Formed by Argentinian Martín Lima (bandoneón), Uruguayan Facundo Estefanell (contrabass) and Brazilian Marcio Sanchez (violin), the trio combines the traditions of tango, milonga and waltz with the compositions of Astor Piazzolla. The repertoire will also include Carlos Gardel, Anibal Troilo and Osvaldo Pugliese, among others.
Conductor Martín Lima has played in several typical orchestras in Buenos Aires. He is a member of the companies Tango e Paixão, Argentango, from São Paulo, El Abrazo Tango, from Minas Gerais, among others.
A musical and dramatic artist, Márcio Sanchez has performed with the São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra (OSESP) and the Mercosur Orchestra (Argentina) as a spalla. He is a violinist in the orchestras of the Teatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro and Petrobras Sinfônica, and founder of Johann Sebastian Rio. As a chamber musician, he has toured Europe, the United States, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil.
Facundo Estefanell stands out as a composer and instrumentalist on the Rio de Janeiro jazz scene for his innovative style on acoustic bass. He has performed with the Rio de Janeiro Municipal Theatre Symphony Orchestra and the YOA Symphony Orchestra of the Americas, touring Europe.
The performance will take place at 11 a.m, in front of the bust of Dom João, and is free of charge. Visitors only pay admission to the arboretum. In the event of rain, it will be transferred to the Galpão das Artes.
