Sunday to the sound of MPB and jazz at the Botanical Garden, with a show by Arthur Dutra and Humberto Mirabelli
On February 25, the Domingo no Jardim series will feature the duo Arthur Dutra (vibraphone and percussion) and Humberto Mirabelli (guitar). They will perform reinterpretations of songs by MPB composers such as Tom Jobim, João Donato, Baden Powell and Paulinho da Viola, among others, as well as jazz themes and their own compositions.
The concert takes place at 11am, in the space in front of the bust of D. João VI, and is free of charge, with a ticket only being charged for the arboretum.
Arthur Dutra has released six albums, including Encontros, in partnership with saxophonist Zé Nogueira. He has recorded with names such as Lenine, Roberta Sá, Vanessa da Mata, Victor Biglione, and has songs interpreted by Zé Renato, Paulinho Moska and Silvia Machete, among others.
Humberto Mirabelli currently accompanies singer Mart'nália, Leny Andrade, Sexteto Teo Lima and has already shared the stage with other big names in MPB, such as Emílio Santiago, Simone, Zezé Mota, Leila Pinheiro, Luíza Possi, Diogo Nogueira and José Roberto Bertrami.
