Rio's Botanical Garden organizes talk on Non-Conventional Food Plants (NFCPs)
To celebrate Botanical Day (April 17), the Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden is holding a special talk next Monday (April 14) at the Thematic Collection of Medicinal Plants. Unconventional Food Plants (PANC) in Bahia: An Overview and Popularization Strategies will be the subject of the talk by Professor José Geraldo de Aquino Assis, from the Biology Institute of the Federal University of Bahia.
Professor Geraldo Aquino has extensive experience in the field and coordinates the PANC Bahia Network, an initiative that connects various people and organizations interested in PANCs, from farmers to educational institutions. He will discuss his experiences and the progress made in disseminating knowledge about these plants.
Registration for the lecture is free and can be done until April 13 or when all the places have been filled using this form. There are 30 places available.
Certificates of attendance will be issued. The event will start at 2pm.
