Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden selects young people for Florescer and High School Scientific Initiation Projects
From January 12 to February 7, applications are open for the selection process for the Florescer - vocational training - and Scientific Initiation in High School projects at the Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden. Young people aged 15 to 18, enrolled in the public school system, in the morning, afternoon or evening shifts of the 9th year of elementary school or the 1st and 2nd year of high school, and with a per capita family income of up to one and a half minimum wages in force in the country, can apply. The projects offer monthly educational aid of up to R$350.00.
Applications must be submitted by February 7, at the office of the Center for Social and Environmental Responsibility/JBRJ, located at Rua Pacheco Leão, 915, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The selection process includes an objective assessment of basic knowledge in Natural Sciences, Portuguese and Mathematics, an essay, among other stages. The final result will be announced on March 1, 2024.
