Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden open during Carnival

The Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden will be open for visitors at normal times throughout Carnival. At the discretion of the security team, the gates may be temporarily closed during the passage of Carnival blocks in the neighborhood, and will be reopened as soon as traffic is normalized.

Sunday - January 28
Me Esquece - Concentration at 8 a.m. in R. Pacheco Leão, 162. End at 1 p.m. in R. Jardim Botânico, 1066.

Sunday - February 4
Suvaco do Cristo - Concentration at 8 a.m. at R. Jardim Botânico, 594. End at 12 p.m. at Praça Santos Dumont, 31.

Saturday - February 10
Escangalha - Concentration at 8 a.m. in R. Jardim Botânico, 1066. End at 2 p.m. in R. Jardim Botânico on the corner with R. Pacheco Leão.

Tuesday - February 13
Vagalume O Verde - Concentration at 8 a.m. in R. Pacheco Leão, 16. End at 2 p.m. at Praça Santos Dumont, 31.

Sunday - February 18
Fofoqueiros de Plantão - Concentration: 10 a.m. at R. Jardim Botânico, corner with R. General Garzon. End at 4 p.m. in Praça Santos Dumont.

Visiting hours at the Botanical Garden are: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesdays, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

During the passage of the blocks, visitors who are inside the Garden and want to leave will be directed to the gate at Rua Major Rubens Vaz nº 64 (Gávea).
