Popular Latin American music is the attraction at Domingo no Jardim on May 12
The Choro Bambuco trio will be performing at Domingo no Jardim on May 12th. Formed by Maria Souto (flutes and sax), João Gabriel Souto (clarinet, sax and guitar) and Colombian José Valencia (guitar and Cuban tres), the trio presents a varied repertoire of popular Latin American music.
The itinerary includes choros, bambucos - a traditional Colombian musical genre characterized by cheerful rhythms - waltzes, pasillos - another Colombian musical genre popular in Ecuador - boleros and baiões. In addition, classics by Pixinguinha, Chiquinha Gonzaga, Tom Jobim and original songs are also on the program.
The concert takes place in front of the bust of Dom João VI, in the arboretum, at 11 a.m.
