Luiz Otávio Braga and Georgia Camara are the attractions of Domingo no Jardim on January 21

The guitarist Luiz Otávio Braga and the percussionist Georgia Camara are performing in the Domingo no Jardim series this Sunday, January 21, at 11 a.m. The show's repertoire provides a brief overview of guitar playing in Brazil, with songs by Jacob do Bandolim, Garoto, Baden Powel, Pixinguinha, Villa-Lobos, João Pernambuco, Paulinho da Viola, Ernesto Nazareth, Antonio Rovira and Leo Brouwer.

In his long career, violinist and composer Luiz Otávio Braga has recorded and performed with important names in Brazilian music, such as Chico Buarque, Nara Leão, Cartola, Elizeth Cardoso, Cláudia Savaget, Paulo Moura, Zezé Gonzaga, Radamés Gnattali, among others. He was part of the Camerata Carioca and is currently a member of the Policarpo Quaresma Trio, with drummer Georgia Camara and bassist Dininho Silva. He is a retired professor of undergraduate and postgraduate courses at UniRio and author of the books "O Violão Brasileiro" (1988), "O Violão de Sete Cordas: Teoria e Prática (2002) and "Uma vez, um Violão: autobiografia de Luiz Otávio Braga" (2022).

Georgia Camara is a drummer and percussionist, one of the founders of Orquestra Lunar. She was part of Zelia Duncan's band, the Itiberê Family Orchestra, the Revelia Orchestra, the Brazilian Harp Orchestra and the Flamenco Art Company. She has played in several theater shows, including Elza, O Musical, O Grande Circo Místico and A Febre do Samba. She is currently a member of Teresa Cristina's band in the Pagode, Preta! project and works as an instrumentalist, teacher and producer at Percutindo Sons. Awarded Best Instrumentalist at the XXIII State Meeting of Civilian Music Bands of RJ, she has a degree and a bachelor's degree from Unirio.
