Pampa Week runs from December 10 to 15 at the Rio Botanical Garden
The Pampa Biome, celebrated on December 17th, is being given a week of activities at the Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden - from the 10th to the 15th of this month.
On Sunday December 10, from 9 am to 11.30 am, children will be able to take part in various assembly activities, musicalization with recycled instruments, storytelling, origami and collage workshops and a memory game with seeds - focusing on the elements of the Pampa's fauna and flora. Meeting point: Ecovilla Ri Happy.
The Pampa Biome Guided Trail will be offered on Monday, December 11, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., by the Visitor Center team. The trail shows the species grown in the Arboretum that occur in the Pampa biome and provides more information about the JBRJ's Living Collection. Meeting point: Visitor Center. The trail is free and there is only an entrance ticket to the Arboretum.
The JBRJ's Environmental Education Service is offering the activity Bioma Pampa: The grasslands of southern Brazil from Wednesday to Friday. As well as a biome-themed memory game, Pampa dominoes, painting and art, the Environmental Education Service will present Tea culture: history and customs - the origin and relationship of tea with the customs and history of the region's indigenous tribes. The activities are free and take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Environmental Education Service area in the Cultural Hall.
