Jazz, blues and Brazilian music with the guitar duo Nando Chagas and Roberto Rosemberg on Sunday in the Garden
A refined mix of jazz, blues and Brazilian music makes up the show by the duo formed by guitarists Nando Chagas and Roberto Rosemberg, who will be performing at Domingo no Jardim on the 26th. With a basically acoustic sound and a great capacity for improvisation, the duo recreates themes by composers such as George Gershwin ("They can't take that away from me"), Burt Bacharach ("The look of love"), Chick Corea ("Spain"), Django Reinhardt ("Nuages"), Bireli Lagrene ("Made in France"), Wes Montgomery ("D Natural blues"), Lenine ("Jack Soul Brasileiro"), Jacob do Bandolim ("Noites cariocas") and César Camargo Mariano ("Samambaia"), as well as well-known songs from the jazz and MPB repertoire, his own compositions and new ones.
In the 1980s, Nando Chagas and Roberto Rosemberg attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA, a milestone in their careers. Back in Brazil, they each followed their own paths until 2003, when they began working as a duo.
As well as being instrumentalists, Nando and Roberto are also composers, and have already released albums, such as Arpoador and Circular, respectively, praised by specialized critics. Nando Chagas is also a music producer and arranger, having worked with Gilberto Gil, Wagner Tiso, Gabriel Pensador, among others. Roberto Rosemberg, who is also a music producer, has accompanied artists such as Peri Ribeiro and Clarisse Grova.
The performance is free of charge and there is only a ticket for the arboretum.
