In the month of June festivities, Domingo no Jardim will have the forró of Quarteto Amoras on the 23rd
Sunday in the Garden, on the 23rd, will feature forró by Quarteto Amoras. Formed by Tamara Terra (zabumba and vocals), Potyra Castro (triangle and vocals), Maria Luísa Tonácio (guitar) and Marcela Coelho (accordion), the band presents a repertoire that values Brazilian regional music. The "amoras", who live in Rio de Janeiro and have roots in Bahia and Minas Gerais, will bring the arrasta-pé to the Botanical Garden, playing xote, baião, maracatu and xaxado.
The performance is free (visitors only pay for admission to the arboretum) and takes place at 11 a.m.. In the event of rain, the performance will be moved to the Galpão das Artes.
