Guitar masters meet on Sunday in the Garden
Marcos Farina and the duo Conversa de Violões, formed by Paulão 7 Cordas and Ramon Araújo, are bringing the best of Brazilian guitar to Rio de Janeiro's Botanical Garden this Sunday, March 3, at 11 a.m.
Marcos Farina was part of the group Galo Preto for two decades, having played with names such as Elton Medeiros and Nelson Sargento. In recent years, he has dedicated himself to composing pieces for solo guitar.
Paulão 7 Cordas and Ramon Araújo created the duo Conversa de Violões to play and create arrangements for the Brazilian popular guitar repertoire, and will perform works by Canhoto da Paraiba, Villa Lobos, Radames Gnatalli, João Pernambuco and others.
The concert is free of charge and there is only a ticket charge for the Arboretum.
