Forró Solar and Papa Vento on Sunday in the Garden
From the musical mix of a man from Rio Grande do Sul, a man from Bahia and a man from Rio de Janeiro came Forró Solar, next Sunday in the Garden ( August 25 ). The group, made up of musicians Guinter Vieira (triangle and vocals), Rodrigo Ferrero (accordion and vocals) and Fabiano Salek (zabumba and vocals), will be performing their own songs influenced by Luiz Gonzaga, Jackson do Pandeiro, Dominguinhos and other prominent names in the popular musical culture of the Northeast.
The concert is free, in front of the bust of Dom João, at 11am. Visitors only pay the entrance fee to the arboretum. In the event of rain, the performance will be moved to the Galpão das Artes.
This Sunday (25), there's also fun for the kids in the playground. The Papa Vento puppet theater group will be performing “Our Forest”. It's the story of an evil hunter who threatens a beautiful forest, and the animals, united, discover that they can defeat him.
The performance takes place at 10am and is free of charge. Visitors only pay for admission to the arboretum.
