ENBT doctoral student wins SBB thesis award
Michelly de Deus Felipe Araújo, a doctoral student in ENBT's Postgraduate Program in Botany, is the winner of the Scientia Amabilis 2023 Award to support doctoral theses in Botany. The prize was awarded by the Botanical Society of Brazil during the 73rd National Botanical Congress, held at the Federal University of Pará, Belém, between October 29th and November 4th, 2023.
Michelly works with plant systematics, developing the thesis project "Phylogeny and biogeography of Tetracera and revision of species in the Neotropical region". The work is being supervised by researcher Claudio Nicoletti de Fraga, from the Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden, and co-supervised by Professor Leandro Lacerda Giacomin, from the Federal University of Paraíba.
