Domingo no Jardim presents the 7-string guitar and violin duo with Julio Lemos and Willian Isaac

This Sunday ( July 7), visitors to Rio de Janeiro's Botanical Garden are invited to enjoy not only the natural beauty of the site, but also the artistry of Julio Lemos and William Isaac. The musicians join forces in a 7-string guitar and violin duo, respectively, to perform classics of Brazilian popular music. The repertoire includes compositions by Jacob do Bandolim, Zequinha de Abreu, Ernesto Nazareth, Waldir Azevedo and others. The duo promises a sonic journey through Brazil's rich musical landscapes.

With a background in classical guitar, Julio Lemos is a member of the instrumental music group Brasil in Trio, which has performed in Argentina, the United States, Portugal, Germany, Holland, France, Spain, Switzerland and China. He has recorded with Hermeto Pascoal, Marcos Sacramento, Silvério Pontes, Eduardo Neves and Carlos Malta. He recently released his first DVD/CD, Julio Lemos - Brasil acústico, available on all digital platforms.

A versatile violinist, Willian Isaac moves between popular and classical music. He has been a member of the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra since 2011. In the sphere of popular music, he works as a musician and arranger, recording and participating in concerts and DVDs of the most diverse musical genres, with important artists and exponents of Brazilian music, such as Renato Teixeira, Yamandu Costa, Alcione, Elba Ramalho, Daniel, Lenine, Ana Carolina, Zé Neto e Cristiano, Simone e Simaria and many others.

The performance takes place in front of the bust of Dom João, in the arboretum, at 11am. The presentation is free. Visitors only pay admission to the arboretum. In the event of rain, the performance will be moved to the Galpão das Artes.
