Biodiversity Information Management
Brazil is the country with the greatest biodiversity in the world. There are more than 116,000 known animal species and over 46,000 known plant species inhabiting the six terrestrial biomes and the three large marine ecosystems. Researchers are constantly generating and making available data and information about the biology and ecology of these species. Data management is a challenge for federal and state environmental agencies and entities.
We have developed this course with the purpose of spreading new knowledge and training managers and technicians who work in this area. The classes will be held remotely, through the Zoom platform, with live lectures and discussions under the coordination of Professor Dr. Eduardo Dalcin and the participation of experts and researchers from various institutions. In addition, the course will have the support for its execution from the National Strategy for the Conservation of Endangered Species Project - (GEF ProSpecies) Todos contra extinção (proespecies.eco.br).
