Basic Guide for Technology Transfer
Understand

You can also request certificates, inquiries, photocopies and 2nd copy of annotation certificate.

Prepare the documentation
To request the annotation and/or registration of the contract, you need to present the paid GRU and the necessary documentation for this service.
Pay the GRU
Check the values of the fees. Individuals and micro-enterprises, among others, are entitled to a discount.
- Register in the e-INPI; and
- Issue and pay the GRU - keep the number of this document, as it will be necessary to start the process.
Start the application
Only start the process after the payment of the GRU.
Access the e-Contratos system with the login "Lawyer or Individual with power of attorney..." to fill in the online form.
For more details on how to order, read the Electronic Technology Contracts Form Manual.
Follow
The process will go through different stages, which may require the user to send new documents.
In order not to miss the deadlines, it is important to follow the progress of the order in the Industrial Property Journal (RPI), always published on Tuesdays.
For the interested parties, the INPI also offers a web search system for technology agreements. In general, it is possible to search through the application or protocol number, for existing words in the terms of the Annotation Certificate, and name or CPF/CNPJ of the parties of the contract.
- Access the Technology Contract Web Search system. There you can select your process and include it in "Meus Pedidos" (My Applications), a system that notifies you by e-mail when there is activity. This is an additional service provided by INPI and does not replace consultation with RPI.
See more details on how to access the system and how to search in the Technology Contracts Web Search Manual.
Questions not answered by the Web Search Manual, the Electronic Contract Form Manual or the Technology Transfer Basic Guide will be answered exclusively by the Contact Us system. Our phone number for other assistances is (21) 3037-3419.
