Laws
Software Law No. 9,609/98 - Enacted on February 19, 1998, it replaces Law No. 7,646/87, and it became effective on the date of its enactment, providing for the protection of intellectual property of software and its marketing in Brazil.
Copyright Law No. 9,610/98 - Enacted on February 19, 1998, it replaces Law No. 5,988/73; it became effective 120 days after its enactment on February 19, 1998.
Decree No. 2.556/98 - Enacted on April 20, 1998, it regulates the registration provided for in art. 3 of Law No. 9,609/98.
Resolutions
PR Resolution No. 61 of March 18, 2013 - Provides for the filing of applications for registration of software and the proceedings related to the numbering of these applications.
PR Resolution No. 251 of October 2, 2019 - Provides for the publication of the new Table of Remuneration for Services Provided by INPI and for the reduction of amounts, in the cases specified.
