BR Priority
* THE PILOT PROJECT BR PRIORITY IS NO LONGER RECEIVING REQUESTS *
The Pilot Project BR Priority is a type of priority examination. The patent applications that may participate are those that belong to a patent family initiated in INPI. In other words, applications initially filed in INPI whose protection was also requested in other patent office(s).
The Project had 3 purposes. First, by examining patent applications in advance, INPI provided the other patent offices with search and examination results, contributing to sharing of works. The second purpose was to facilitate the insertion of innovative goods and services developed by the Brazilian science and technology institutions and industries in the global market. The third purpose was related to mitigating the negative effects of INPI’s delay in the decision about patent applications for this specific niche of applicants.
The Pilot project had 4 stages and became a permanent service. In this page, we present the Resolutions revoked and the results obtained.
