The training activities of the Industrial Property Training and Extension Division (DIEPI) intend to meet the needs of IP knowledge of the general public and cover the main issues related to Intellectual Property, contributing to the consolidation of a culture of respect for the property of products of human creativity and serving as an instrument for the dissemination of basic knowledge in IP.

COURSES IN A PARTNERSHIP WITH WIPO
In addition to distance learning courses, INPI’s Academy offers the following in-person courses in a partnership with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO):
- Summer School on Intellectual Property: Aimed mainly at young professionals and students at the end of undergraduate and graduate courses, as well as people interested in the subject of Intellectual Property. The program consists of lectures, case studies, group discussions, and other scheduled activities.
- Patent Drafting: It addresses Intellectual Property protection strategies aimed at research results from universities and Research & Development centers; discusses prior search techniques, patentability requirements, structure of a patent document; and aims at bringing together patent inventors and writers.
- Successful Technology Licensing: It aims to strengthen the knowledge of technology managers, professionals in the field of business innovation, lawyers and professionals from academic institutions and industry. The Program focuses on the commercialization of intellectual property assets and the topics covered are intellectual property management, marketing and technology valuation, as well as discussion and drafting of licensing agreements.
- Patent Analytics: It enables the processing and strategic use of data from patent databases so that professionals from developing countries can understand, analyze and monitor technological advances in several fields of knowledge and on a worldwide scale.
