Strategic planning
In this section, information related to the programs, actions, projects and activities implemented by INPI are disclosed.
INPI participates in PPA 2020-2023 with the execution of initiatives linked to Objective 1187 – To increase the productivity and competitiveness of industry, commerce, services and SMEs in comparison to other world economies, fostering competition in the markets, Program 2212 – Improving the Business Environment and Productivity.
INPI’s Strategic Plan for 2018-2021 is the Institute’s strategic direction instrument, which details the Mission, Vision, Values, 5 strategic objectives, goals and strategic initiatives for the coming years. The Plan will enable INPI to guarantee the scope of efficient protection of Industrial Property rights, and to boost the transformation of knowledge into an economic asset, contributing to the improvement of the business environment and the development of the Country.
INPI’s Action Plan, on its turn, is the instrument that defines the management priorities for the current year, the result goals, and the deliverables of each initiative, as established in the Strategic Plan 2018-2021.
The Execution Reports are the management instruments that present the results achieved in the period in relation to that planned in the Action Plan in relation to the goals, indicators and expected deliveries.

Transparency and Accountability
The Planning documents are the documents of the INPI that present information related to the provisions of paragraphs "a" and "e", of item I, of art. 8 of Normative Instruction No. 84, of April 22, 2020, of the Federal Audit Court.
Ordinance / INPI nº 356, of November 3, 2020, establishes the institutional goals for the purpose of the Gratification of Activity Performance in the Industrial Property Area - GDAPI and the Gratification of Activity in the Science and Technology Area - GDACT for the year of 2020. As for 2019, the Results of the Institutional Goals can be consulted here and the respective Normative Instruction PR / INPI No. 96/2019 is available here.
In the 2016-2019 PPA, INPI participated in Program 2079 - Development of Industry, Commerce and Services, through initiatives linked to Objective 1038 - Promote innovation in companies, stimulate R&D and professional qualification.

In compliance with the provisions of arts. 11 and following of Decree No. 9,094, of July 17, 2017, INPI maintains updated information on the Citizen Services Portal and publishes its User Service Letter, within the scope of its sphere of competence, with the objective of informing the services provided by the Institute, the ways of accessing these services and the commitments and quality standards of service to the public.
In view of INPI's participation in the Direct Investment Ombudsman's Focal Points Network, to offer support to foreign investors through consultations and inquiries, in accordance with the Investment Cooperation and Facilitation Agreement signed by Brazil with several countries, the following is also presented: Primer for Foreign Investors in the Area of Intellectual Property, document attached to the User Service Letter.
Finally, it should be noted that the INPI does not carry out programs that result in revenue waivers. For this reason, there is no content to be published in this regard. Likewise, INPI does not develop programs financed by the Fund to Support Workers - FAT, to justify the lack of content of this nature to be published.
