INPI launches tool that enables user to request remote services
INPI informs that it has made available, on the Integrated Service Platform, an electronic tool to request a scheduled remote service by videoconference. Within seven business days, the user will receive an email response informing if the request was rejected or accepted.
The service will take into account the preference marked by the applicant, but will be scheduled on the most suitable date and time, according to the capacity of the human and physical resources of the sector in charge, which will provide the link for accessing the platform through which the videoconference will be held.
The expected duration of the service will be one hour, pursuant to the precepts of INPI’s Relationship and Transparency Policy and INPI’s Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct established by INPI/PR Ordinance No. 279 of July 27, 2020.
If the remote service does not prove to be the most suitable channel, the competent area will send, by email, a response rejecting the scheduling request and, at the same time, submitting the suitable guidelines for providing orientation or clarification to the applicant, including attached files or document sharing links.
