INPI and WIPO sign an Information Technology Agreement
The president of the Brazilian National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI), Cláudio Vilar Furtado, and the Assistant Director General for the Infrastructure and Platforms Sector of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Kenichiro Natsume, signed this Thursday, November 3, a memorandum of understanding for Information Technology.
The memorandum includes actions such as supply by WIPO of corporate systems for the management of Intellectual Property (IP) rights, provision of online services and management of documents; projects to enhance the management of processes and workflows within INPI; projects to digitize and enhance the quality of data; exchange of data for IP dissemination; and creation of IP databases.
The agreement also includes IT strategy consulting services; audit of IT, management, resources and infrastructure; provision of technical support, software updates, transfer of knowledge, and training to optimize the use of WIPO corporate systems implemented at INPI.
