Visit to the Ipiranga Museum
On November 14th a visit was made to the Ipiranga Museum in São Paulo, Brazil.
The Library Department, along with the INPE Extension and Training Departments, took a technical visit to the Ipiranga Museum in São Paulo - SP, to gather ideas for the implementation of the Revitalize Project and the exhibition of INPE's memorabilia in the future.
The Revitalize Project seeks to revamp and adjust the physical layout of the Teaching, Research, and Extension Coordination (COEPE) buildings to cater to the changing needs of both the internal and external communities, thereby generating advantages for the institution. The project aims to redesign and modernize space layout, creating flexible, functional, and collaborative environments that support teaching, learning, sharing, creativity, and innovation activities.
The exhibition of historical and cultural scientific instruments, as well as other cultural heritage artifacts, is a project that INPE will undertake using guidelines created for analyzing, determining the destination, and preserving these valuable items received or acquired by INPE. Moreover, these objects are deemed part of the institution's historical and cultural heritage.
