Online course on the 200 years of literary nationalism in Brazil
In the context of the celebrations of the Independence Bicentennial, the Embassy of Brazil in Helsinki and other Brazilian embassies and consulates have invited professors, lectors and local intellectuals to teach the online course 200 anos de nacionalismo literário no Brasil [200 years of literary nationalism in Brazil]. Coordinated by Dr. Alexandre Pilati, professor of Brazilian literature at the University of Brasília, the course is based on articles, excerpts, and selections of poems by important Brazilian writers, such as Gonçalves de Magalhães, Gonçalves Dias, Machado de Assis, José de Alencar, Maria Firmina dos Reis, and Mário de Andrade.
