FUNAG publishes the 44th issue of Cadernos do CHDD

FUNAG has launched the 44th issue of Cadernos do CHDD, a journal published by its Center for History and Diplomatic Documentation.

This edition continues with the publication of documents on Platine issues in the 19th Century and the mediation of South American conflicts in the 1930s. For the section on imperial diplomacy, the documentation of the legation of Brazil in Montevideo during the year 1854 was selected, when the Brazilian military intervention in Uruguay took place. In addition, the edition follows the successive attempts made by Brazil to avoid the escalation of the Chaco War and the evolution of this process between 1933 and 1935, when an armistice was established and the Peace Conference was convened in Buenos Aires.
