FUNAG launches the second volume of the “Coleção Antártica” [Antarctic Collection]

The Alexandre de Gusmão Foundation has published the second volume of the “Coleção Antártica” [Antarctic Collection], issued in 2021 in order to highlight Brazil’s participation in the Antarctic Treaty System and to celebrate the country’s engagement in that continent.

This volume contains historical texts, strategic and diplomatic papers, such as the yet-unpublished study by Ambassador João Frank da Costa, which was the basis for the Brazilian position in favor of adhesion to the Antarctic Treaty System in 1975.
