FUNAG launches book in memory of the centenary of Rui Barbosa's death

At the centenary of the death of Rui Barbosa, the Alexandre de Gusmão Foundation launches the second revised and expanded edition of the book “Rui Barbosa, uma personalidade multifacetada/Rui Barbosa, a multifaceted personality”.

Originally published in 2012, the work recalls the thought and practice of the unique jurist, politician, diplomat and intellectual of the Second Reign and First Republic in Brazil. This expanded edition features two additional contributions: the first, a lecture by Celso Amorim, held in 2007, in which the interactions between Rui Barbosa's ideas and various multilateral issues of the 21st century are clearly seen. The second is an article by Carlos Henrique Cardim, from 2013, which deepens the study of Rui's performance specifically in the international sphere.
