FUNAG launched the third edition of the book “The United Nations and the international fight against racism”

The Alexandre de Gusmão Foundation launched the third edition of the book "The United Nations and the International Fight Against Racism", by Ambassador Silvio José Albuquerque e Silva. Originally presented in 2007, the main objectives of the work were to analyse the context and results of the Durban World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance, held in 2001.

This new edition demonstrates the relevance and timeliness of the work. The author issues a warning about the modalities and levels of contemporary racism and intolerance, reminding us of the imperative of knowing and applying the strategies already agreed by the international community to combat those scourge and break the vicious circle that feeds them.
