Brazil and ASEAN: perspectives for an emerging relationship
In the context of the recently established Brazil-ASEAN Sectoral Dialogue Partnership, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Alexandre de Gusmão Foundation will hold the hybrid seminar "Brazil and ASEAN: perspectives for an emerging relationship", on 3 April 2024, from 9am to 12pm (BRT), at the Itamaraty Palace in Brasilia.
The seminar aims to discuss the relevance and potential of relations between Brazil and the ASEAN member countries. The event will consist of two thematic panels, namely: i) joint prosperity through trade and investments; ii) joint solutions for the energy transition – the role of bioenergy. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mauro Vieira, and the Chairman of the ASEAN Committee in Brasilia, Ambassador Saksee Phromyothi, will attend the opening session.
The book Brazil and ASEAN: Partners for Peace and Development, organized by Everton Lucero and Almir Nascimento, will be launched on the occasion.
