STRATEGIC INTELLIGENCE COURSE (CSIE)
Objective:
To develop competencies to effectively perform roles within the area of Strategic Intelligence in Public Administration, particularly in institutions linked to the Brazilian Intelligence System - SISBIN, based on studies related to the area.
Audience
a) civilians appointed by national invited institutions, state-run or private, of interest to the activity, with either experience or potential employment in the Intelligence field, preferably, from organs which are part of the Brazilian System of Intelligence - SISBIN and from Public Security of states and the Federal District;
b) senior officers of the Armed Forces, preferably from the first ranks, holding a Staff Course Certificate. They should have a course, experience or potential employment in the area of Intelligence; and
c) senior officers of the invited Auxiliary Forces, preferably from the first ranks, holding a Staff Course Certificate of their corporations. They should have a course, experience or potential employment in the area of Intelligence.
Course Organization
CSIE is carried out in the hybrid modality. Two weeks are online learning and 15 weeks are in-person, with classes from Monday through Thursday (from 9:00am to 4:15pm) and Friday (from 9am to 12:40pm). There is a domestic trip dedicated to Interdisciplinary Field Studies which lasts a week.
The course lasts 17 weeks and the course load is of 478 hrs/year.
CSIE 2025 will be held from March 10 to July 4.
Throughout the course, the students will have the following subjects: National Security, Development and Defense; Intelligence; Scientific Research Methodology; Counterintelligence; International Relations and Geopolitics; Intelligence Systems; Planning Methodology; Intelligence Applied Studies; and Interdisciplinary Studies and Transversal Topics.
