GEOPOLITICS AND DEFENSE COURSE (CGEOD)
Objective
To develop analytical and interpretative competencies based on a relational structure originated in the trinomial space - power - actors, covering three major perspectives: political-diplomatic, strategic-military, and economic and, in this context, the implications for Brazil, particularly in terms of National Defense
Audience
a) civilians appointed by invited institutions, state-run or private; and
b) senior officers of the Armed Forces, preferably holding a Staff Course Certificate and officers of the Auxiliary Forces, holding higher study certificates from their institutions.
Course Organization
CGEOD is carried out in the hybrid modality. One week is remote learning and four weeks are in-person, with classes from Monday through Friday (from 9:00am to 12:40pm).
The course lasts 5 weeks and the course load is of 100 hrs/year.
CGEOD 2025 will be held from September 29 to October 31.
Throughout the course, the students will have the following subjects: Basic Concepts, Classic Geopolitics Theory and Contemporary Geopolitics; Geopolitical Analysis and Interpretation of Current Topics; and Brazilian Geopolitics.
