The Brazilian Armed Forces carry out a joint exercise in southern Brazil

The Brazilian Armed Forces have started a Joint Exercise (EXCON Escudo-Tínia), involving more than 50 aircraft from different Air Force units and about 800 troops from the Army, the Navy and the Air Force, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Southern Brazil.
The Army’s 12th Mechanized Cavalry Regiment, part of the Southern Military Command (CmdoCMS), performs a “Defense of the Homeland”exercise in which about 55 vehicles are being used alongside an effective 254 ground troops.
