Cruise season in Brazil is expected to be the biggest in the last decade

There is great expectation for the 2022/2023 Brazilian cruise season, expected to be the biggest in that last decade. During the 6-month long season, an estimated 780,000 beds will be offered, up 47%, compared to the 530,000 available during the 2019/2020 summer.
The sector will create 44,000 jobs in Brazil and generate an impact of R$3.8 billion on the national economy. The season also marks the return of Brazil to the international shipping route used by companies from around the world.
From last October 7, the start of the season, to May 17, 2023, 35 long-haul vessels will make 309 stops at 45 destinations located in 15 Brazilian states such as Amazonas, Bahia, Ceará, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Rio Grande do Sul.
