Increased projection of primary surplus of the Brazilian Government (National Treasury, Social Security and Central Bank) to R$ 23.36 billion in 2022, i.e. 0.4% of the GDP, R$ 9,81 billion more than previously estimated, and the first Federal government’s surplus in eight years.
The entire public sector (Union, states, municipalities and state-owned companies) will register a second consecutive year of surpluses: 0.9% of GDP in 2022. These results prove the good financial health of subnational entities, in a movement driven by federal actions.
