Brazil launches campaign against sexual violence against children
In October, the Brazilian government launched the campaign 'Fighting violations of Human Rights: preventing sexual violence against children and adolescents on the internet'. The project raises awareness against child pornography, pedophilia and sexual harassment on the internet.
In 2022, Brazil joined an international task force to fight against sexual crimes online against children and adolescents. Countries work along with Interpol and technology companies to identify criminal networks that produce and distribute child pornography online.
Parental monitoring in an environment of trust and support is paramount. The government aims to promote decisive technological re-education and strengthen real social relationships - especially the familial - enabling a safer use of technological resources.
