With 433 task forces carried out, the Fight Against Ocean Waste Program collects about 280 tons of garbage

The Fight Against Ocean Waste Program, launched by the Brazilian government, has already carried out about 433 task forces in 177 cities and collected more than 280 tons of garbage from beaches, rivers, lagoons and mangroves.

In addition to environmental recovery, the National Plan to Fight Ocean Waste has the support of 82 institutions and seeks to raise the population's awareness of responsible behavior on beaches in actions with the local community and tourists.
