Wind power generation broke its first record of the year with 14,167MW of instantaneous generation, enough to supply the 57 million people of the Northeast region for 1 minute and still export 23.2% of the surplus.
Between July and September, the so-called “wind harvest” season blows in the Northeast. The region is favored by the action of winds with a speed much higher than that necessary for energy generation, being unidirectional and stable, allowing for continuous generation.
Solar generation was responsible for generating 2,963MW, an amount equivalent to 27.5% of 1 minute of the Northeast's energy demands.
