The country closes in 2021 with 108 delivered projects and 39 granted assets to the private sector
In 2021, the Brazilian Government completed 108 infrastructure works, provided R$ 5.5 billion to modernize all modes of transportation, and contracted R$ 37.6 billion from the private sector for future investments into railways, airports, highways, ports and waterways.
Last year, 2,050 kilometers of roads have been paved, doubled or recovered, totaling 4,100 kilometers since 2019. Three federal highways, one railway, 22 airports and three port terminals have been auctioned - including R$ 678 million to a fuel terminal in the Port of Santos.
With the auction of 39 transport infrastructure assets, the Brazilian government guaranteed another R$ 37.6 billion in investments in the next years. Since 2019, approximately R$ 100 billion have already been raised in the 79 auctions carried out by the Ministry of Infrastructure.
