Conecta Parques is a project of the Brazilian government that will make internet available in Forests and National Parks with the aim of strengthening ecotourism and generating environmental awareness through people's contact with nature.
Brazil achieved 20 antennas set up in 18 national parks last month. The internet also had arrived in five conservation units, with six antennas installed; 11 antennas are in the process of being delivered to another nine parks.
The availability of free internet in the national parks is a tool to promote ecotourism since tourists publicize the parks, trails, and forests on social networks, websites, and applications, advertising and promoting the destination visited.
