The Brazilian govt is bringing high-speed connectivity to every city with poor or unavailable access to internet, prioritizing vulnerable communities first. To date, of the 14k broadband connections provided, 10k are in schools, 700 in health care units and 460 in indigenous villages.
The “Wi-Fi Brasil” program offers free internet connection via satellite and terrestrial broadband to promote digital inclusion throughout the country. It is set up even in public squares in remote, strategic areas - always in accordance with the national sustainable development policy.
